Why do Democrats support regressive taxation? IE: Taxing more from the poor and middle than the rich?

What middle cl? They don't exist anymore. All of their jobs are now in China and India, thanks to the republican party. The last time a democrat was in office everyone made a decent salary, and more people owned homes then too. But when the new administration came in all the jobs that created the middle cl went over seas, and all of the people who owned companies that went over seas got these huge TAX breaks. Unfortunately, it takes tax money for this country to function. The problem is rich people are being taxed the same amount as poor people, the difference; they have more money so they don't feel it. taxing 25% from a $100.00 feels totally different from 25% of a 100million.
