We have a chimney *** exaust in our house. it is a old italian model. the filter in the same is round?

in shape and due to long time use, the carbon deposit in the same is too thick. can any one tell me how to remove the clogged carbon in the filter. The same type of filter or the exhaust unit is not available in the indian market,hence this question. g.krishna murthy
