Live in California, have fake ID from another state...what do bouncers look for?

I am 19, almost 20 and I happen to have a fake ID that says I'm 23 and from Wisconsin. It has my actual name and picture on it plus I have all the information memorized..including what zodiac sign I am. I've used it before at bars and to buy alcohol at stores and it worked...the bars I used it at only checked ID's, not scanned them. Well I'm going out this weekend to a bar and was curious as to what bouncers look for on an ID. I'm always a little nervous right before I use it and was wondering what exactly they check. Also, I always carry my bank card and kaiser medical card with my actual name on it just in case they want extra proof its me..any answers would be great..and please refrain from any negative comments..thanks! What would give someone away or have them be denied? What if the place scans but your ID is from out of state? And what happens if a bouncer takes it away?
