Rooster question. Please help!!?

We ordered 26 chickens from a hatchery in Maine. We got them on Memorial Day, and all the chickens are nice and don't attack. We weren't supposed to get a rooster to start with, but they sent one anyways. HE IS THE MEANEST THING IN THE WORLD!!! He doesn't have spurrs yet, but he flies at us and tries to claw us or just hits us with his body. If he is around when we pull down the drive way, he's going to keep us trapped in the truck. We have to carry a broom to go in the yard or he'll attack us. The only person he doesn't try to attack is my father in law, who lives in a house on the other side of our acreage. How in the world can we get him to stop attacking us? We don't chase him or anything. Any help is appriciated!!! We can't even have our nieces and nephews or god-children over with out him trying to get us!! ***We' don't want to kill him or get rid of him, just make him quit attacking!!***
